AMAZING PHOTOS - FOR THE LOVE OF BIRDS - Meeting Thursday June 9
Georgina Steytler is an Albany-based photographer with incredible patience and outstanding photography skills.
Her recently released book – For The Love Of Birds – contains some of the most beautiful bird photographs you’re ever likely to see and Busselton Naturalists Club members can see them for free at the next Club meeting on Thursday June 9.
Born in Donnybrook, Georgina started her photography career as a volunteer for Birdlife Australia. Since then, she became the first Australian woman to win a category (Invertebrates: Behaviour) in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year, the world’s foremost nature photography competition, in 2018.
She has also been awarded the title of Bird Photographer of the Year (Best Portfolio and Creative Prize), Grand Prix Winner of EAAFP Waterbirds Photo Contest, Australian Photography Awards (Wildlife) and Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year (Portfolio Prize).
At the June 9 meeting, Georgina will describe her passion for photography and display some of her outstanding photos.
She will also have copies of her book For the Love of Birds, published by Australian Geographic, for sale.
The meeting is open to the public and is free to attend, although a gold coin donation to cover hall hire costs will be appreciated.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm this coming Thursday and venue is the main hall in the Busselton Senior Citizens Centre, 22 Peel Terrace, Busselton.
