CAPE TO CAPE TRACK MAINTENANCE - SUNDAY OCTOBER 17
The Club’s annual maintenance of our allocated section of the Cape to Cape Track will be held on Sunday October 17, starting at 9.00am.
The Club maintains the Sugarloaf Rock to Cape Naturaliste section of track and, this year, we’ll be pruning vegetation from Sandpatch carpark south down to Sugarloaf Rock.
This is usually the easiest section to maintain as there are only two short sections of boardwalk and the overall length of this part of the track is just one kilometre long.
Meet at Sandpatch carpark which is north (turn right) off Sugarloaf Rock near the highest point of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge.
Bring gloves and secateurs, plus a whipper snipper or hedgetrimmer if you have one, plus a rake to rake up pruned vegetation.
Maintenance work is normally completed by lunchtime so, if the weather is fine, bring your own picnic lunch and a folding chair to be enjoyed back at the carpark
