Meeting Thursday 9 – Dr Dennis Gee, geological consultant: Shoreline Movement and Understanding Sediment Volumes along the Geographe Bay Coastline.
Camping excursion Friday March 17 to Monday March 20 – Camping at Coalmine Beach Holiday Park, Walpole, to visit the Eungedup Wetlands. Also Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk, mainland quokkas, Corymbia ficifolia (red-flowing gum), Conspicuous Cliff, Mt Frankland National Park. Phone 9840 1026 and mention the Club’s name to gain a 15% discount when booking a camp or caravan site. Please advise president Bernie of numbers.

Excursion Sunday 23 – Wendy Perdon, Manager, SW Timber Hub: Ecological Thinning of Native Forests. Visit to Munro block, Mumballup. Self-drive and share a lift if possible. Meet 9.00am at Peel Tce carpark. Bring m/a tea, picnic lunch. Afternoon bushwalk.

Meeting Thursday 11 – Dr Kye Adams, Dept of Biodiversity Conservation & Attractions: Ngari Capes Marine Park – monitoring of the park’s health and future threats.
Excursion Sunday 21 – Geology of Roelands Quarry (5.6km return). Lunch at Crooked Brook Forest, then afternoon walk trails. BUS or self-drive if insufficient numbers. Bring $15, m/a tea, picnic lunch.

Meeting Thursday 8 – Mike Freeman, former Project Manager (Geology), Department of Mines. Extraterrestrial Impact Structures in WA and Australia.
Morning Excursion Sunday 18 – Marine Invertebrates under the Microscope. Leader: Jane Griffith. Meet 10.00am at carpark at end of Freycinet Drive, Geographe. Microscopes and dip nets supplied. An outing for the children and grandchildren!

Excursion Sunday 9 – Mid-Year Lunch at Karridale Tavern. BUS at 11.00am from Peel Terrace carpark. $40 includes meal plus tea/coffee. Afternoon visit to The Lost Knowledge Bookshop or other sites in Margaret River townsite. Bookings essential to president.
Excursion Sunday 23 – Beach Sweep: looking for marine life thrown onto Moses Rock Beach by winter storms. Leaders: Sue Morrison & Ann Storrie. Meet 9.30am at the northern car park. Bring morning tea and picnic lunch and the grandchildren!
