Meeting Thursday 10 – Brian Trainer – Endangered Orchids of the Southwest Capes
Morning Excursion 20 –Freshwater Invertebrates under the Microscope. Leader: Jane Griffith. Meet 10.00am on Greyteal Place, Broadwater. Microscopes and dip nets supplied. Another outing especially for the children and grandchildren!
Long-range camping Excursion Wednesday August 30 to about Saturday Sept 16. Narembeen, Wave Rock, Newdegate Field Day, Ongerup Malleefowl Centre, Walpole & river cruise. Leader: Ian Christophersen – iandeborah@yahoo.com.au for more details. 4WDs and off-road vans not essential.

Excursion Sunday 24 – Wildflowers of Meelup Regional Park – After The Fire. Self-drive. Meet at Meelup Beach main carpark at 10.00am for morning and afternoon walks. Bring m/a teas, picnic lunch, folding chairs.

Excursion Sunday 15 – Maintenance Morning on the Cape Naturaliste to Sugarloaf Rock section of Cape to Cape Track. Meet 9.00am at Sandhills carpark off Sugarloaf Rock Road. Bring gloves, secateurs, brushcutters, morning tea, rakes, picnic lunch.
Excursion Friday 20 to Monday 23 – Camping at Dryandra – echidnas, woylies, numbats, wildflowers, orchids. Phone 9881 9200 to book a Barna Mia Nocturnal Wildlife Experience ($22 adult, $16 concession) – get in early as places are limited for this activity. Camping at Gnaala Mia or Congelin campgrounds.
