Speaker: Dr Richard George, “Water and the Sustainability of its Supply in the SW of WA”
Dr Richard George is a Senior Principal Research Scientist in Water Science. He is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Land and Water research and leads Major Projects in Irrigation, Drought & Hydrology Research areas. He leads a team focused on resource assessment and modelling, supporting rural industries via R&D and extension work. His group collaborates with CSIRO, Geoscience Australia, and others on major projects across multiple Western Australian regions. With a background in hydrology and hydrogeology, Dr George has pioneered using electromagnetic tools from the mining sector for catchment analysis. He is a widely published researcher with over 50 journal articles and numerous other publications, many of which are available on ResearchGate.
