November Long Weekend Camp: Greenbushes

Camping will be at the Greenbushes Sports Oval (free campsite), Friday 21-Monday 24.  People are welcome to stay the 3 nights (Friday to Sunday) or attend the day(s) that interest them.   The campground is unpowered, and toilets are available.  The campsite is on the right as you turn into the first entrance to Greenbushes coming from Balingup. After turning off the highway, take the first turn right (100m) past the first oval and drive around to the cricket pavilion, which is behind the second oval.  If you wish to stay in alternative accommodation, you are welcome to arrange this yourself.

Activities:

• Saturday – A town walk including a Tour of the Greenbushes Discovery Centre ($5 per person), town murals, the Greenbushes Community Garden & dinner at the Shamrock Hotel.  The Bridgetown Agricultural Show is on Saturday from 9am to 9pm for those who are interested in going ($20 entrance per adult).
• Sunday – Meet at the Greenbushes Pool on Spring Gully Road at 9:30am for a walk around Schwenkes Dam Wetland – discover birds, wildflowers and the history of the Schwenkes Wetland project.
• There are walk trail options and many things to see and do in Balingup and Bridgetown if you would like to fill in any spare time.
