August Excursion: Seals & Whales at Cape Naturaliste (expired event)

🌿 Join the Busselton Naturalists Club for a Scenic Coastal Walk! 🌊

📅 Date: Sunday, August 17
🕤 Time & Meeting Points:
• 9:30 am – Meet at ECU Learning Centre car park, 38 Peel Terrace, Busselton, for carpooling
or
• 10:00 am – Meet at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse carpark

🚶‍♀️ Walk Details:
Come along for a 5 km loop walk (approx. 2 hours) that winds along the spectacular cliffs of Cape Naturaliste, offering stunning ocean views and scenic lookouts.

We’ll pause at the Seal Lookout, where New Zealand Fur Seals are often seen basking on the rocks or playing in the waves. Watch for passing whales — it’s the perfect season to spot them!

What to Bring:
✔ Sturdy walking shoes
✔ Hat & sun protection
✔ Morning tea, lunch & snacks
✔ Plenty of water
✔ Folding chair
✔ Binoculars (optional)
✔ A sense of adventure!
