OUR FIRST MEETING FOR 2024 – THE ANTARCTIC – PLUS OUR AGM
The Busselton Naturalists Club’s first meeting for the new year will be held on Thursday February 8, with our own Leanne Green giving us a talk and slide presentation on her and Steve’s fairly recent trip to the Antarctic.
Venue is still in the Busselton Senior Citizens Centre main hall, 22 Peel terrace, Busselton, starting at 7.30pm.
The meeting is open to the public and free of charge, although a gold coin donation to cover meeting venue hire costs will be appreciated.
Following the meeting, the Club will hold its AGM, with all important positions already filled by members who have put up their hands to help run the club under a new president.
The AGM will also include a vote on adopting a new constitution, a copy of which has already been emailed to all members.
Because the draft constitution has been vetted by the management committee and is not proposing any radical changes, it should not attract much discussion, so this administrative aspect of the AGM should only take a couple of minutes.
The Club has recently purchased a new portable PA system and it will be in operation at our February 8 meeting.
